This fall signifies a very important moment in Texas Art with a multivalent celebration of the art of Richard Stout, one of Houston’s most influential abstract painters. Coinciding with the release of his monograph Sense of Home: The Art of Richard Stout and museum retrospective exhibition opening at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas in Beaumont, William Reaves | Sarah Foltz Fine Art presents Houston’s Expressionist Legacy: Richard Stout & Friends, on view October 13- November 4, 2017.
This exhibition will feature a magnificent selection of fresh works from the artist’s studio, as well as works by many of his peers, including artists: John Alexander, Jack Boynton, David Cargill, Ibsen Espada, Dorothy Hood, Leila McConnell, Jesus Moroles, Charles Schorre, James Surls and Dick Wray.
