Robert Morris Description

ROBERT MORRIS (b. 1931)

Born in New York, New York, Robert Morris earned his bachelor of fine arts degree from Yale University and completed graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. During his time in Houston, he was at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and later served as Director of the Contemporary Arts Museum, where he staged avant-garde exhibitions and gave early exposure to work of Robert Rauschenberg, Ray Johnson, and others.
